Biography
Prof., PhD Alina Smalinskiene is Professor in the in the Institute of Biology Systems and Genetic Research, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. A.Smalinskiene received her undergraduate training in Biology at Vilnius University at Nature Faculty and the Ph. D. degree in Biology from Kaunas University of Medicine. Scientific interests: genetic polymorphism and gene expression of diseases. A. Smalinskiene was a supervisor of project funded by the State studies and science foundation and economic entity. 2010-2 014 she worked on three Research Council of Lithuania projects. A. Smalinskiene participates in the EU project: “Engineering and functionalization of delivery system with Pelargonium sidoides biologically active substance on inflamed periodontal surface area†funded by EU HORIZONT 2020. She is an author and co-author of 31 scientific articles. A. Smalinskiene also participated in 60 conferences, where she presented the results of her work. She participates in the teaching of genetics and cell biology to graduate students.

Loai Aljerf is a Prof in the Department of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Dental Medicine/Damascus University. He is a specialist in analytical and industrial chemistry. He obtained many awards and published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers (two of them in French) in Environmental Sciences, Green Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Synthesis Chemistry, Concrete, Ceramics, Paper Industry, Petrochemical, Extraction, Separation, Lithium-Ion-Batteries, and Oral Chemistry. He is a partner in Advances in Cleaner Production Network, and a member of the German Chemical Society e.V. (GDCh), Asian Chemical Society, and the American University of Beirut. He is a member of the higher committee of the 6th International Workshop-Advance in Cleaner Production (São Paulo, Brazil (May 24th to 26th - 2017)) and in more than 20 conference organizing committees. Loai Aljerf is in the Cambridge Scholars Publishing-Life Science Advisory Board and an editor of more than 50 journals and a reviewer for Top journals in Industry, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Chemistry.

Biography
Dr. Teel is a periodontist and dental implant surgeon. Her passion is to achieve clinical excellence while maintaining the utmost in patient comfort in a soothing environment. She attended New York University for her dental education, where she achieved honors in implantology and prosthodontics, as well as served as president of the NYU implant study club. Dr. Teel was selected to attend a highly competitive General Practice Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ where she received advanced training in dental trauma and special needs patient care. Dr. Teel practiced as a general dentist in New York where she split her time as a contracted U.S. Coast Guard dentist and in an esthetically driven private practice. Dr. Teel received her certificate and masters degree from a three year Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. Her research focused on success criteria and survival rates of dental implants. Among others, her presentations include for the Academy of Osseointegration Annual Session, the Astra World Congress in Gothenburg, Sweden, and for the Oregon Society of Periodontists. Domestically, she has volunteered her care in free health care clinics in New York, Chicago, and most recently served at Mission of Mercy in Madison. Abroad, she travels to serve the people of rural Cap Haitien, Haiti. She currently serves as a board member with the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association, and active member of Waukesha County Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseointegration(implant dentistry). Utilizing the most modern technology, Dr. Teel's surgical expertise focuses on microsurgery which allows minimally invasive procedures. As her patients and colleagues attest, Dr. Teel prides herself in maintaining periodontal and surgical excellence, while alleviating her patient's apprehension and concerns.

Dr. Teel's interests outside the scope of dentistry include traveling, hiking, skiing, running marathons and exploring the great outdoors with her husband and two daughters.
